Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. has secured a 30-year concession to develop, operate, and maintain Berth No. 13 at Deendayal Port, in a significant boost to its infrastructure portfolio. The company clinched the deal through a competitive bidding process.

The berth, which spans 300 meters, will have an annual capacity of 0.57 crore tonne. Designed to handle multipurpose clean cargo, including container cargo, this project is expected to enhance Deendayal Port's operational capabilities significantly.

Adani Ports targets the commissioning of Berth No. 13 in fiscal 2027. The Concession Agreement, to be signed within 30 days of the LOI issuance by the Deendayal Port Authority, will officially kickstart the project.

This strategic move aligns with Adani Ports' ongoing efforts to expand its infrastructure and maintain its leadership position in the maritime sector.

Shares of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone closed 0.15% higher at Rs 1,477.9 apiece on the BSE, as compared to a 0.49% advance in the benchmark Sensex.
