Auto Expo 2025: Hyundai Creta Electric Launches At Rs 17.99 Lakh

Hyundai Motor India Ltd. has launched its first electric car in the Creta Electric in direct rivalry with Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. and Tata Motors Ltd.
The ex-showroom price of the base model of the Hyundai Creta is Rs 17.99 lakh, while the Smart variant is available for Rs 18.99 lakh. The Smart (O) variant is priced at Rs 19.49 lakh, and the premium variant costs Rs 19.99 lakh.
The Hyundai Creta Electric gets two variants—51.4 kWh battery pack, 171 BHP of power and 42 kWh battery pack, 135 BHP of power—that on full charge deliver a range of 390-473 km. The car can be juiced up from 10% to 80% in under an hour, using a DC charger. A full charge at home takes about four hours.

To be sure, Hyundai India has been hard at work building the ecosystem for Creta Electric and whatever follows. The company, along with sister brand Kia Motor Co., has tied with Exide Industries Ltd. for the localisation of battery cells in India.
At least 10,000 charging points have been mobilised through an app. Eighty fast-chargers have been installed at 30 locations along some of India’s busiest highways.
