The Annual Meeting for this year's World Economic Forum is scheduled to be held next week in Davos, Switzerland. The event will see over 3,000 global leaders address key global and regional challenges, including geopolitical shock response, supporting growth to make living standards better and batting for a just and inclusive energy transition.

WEF Davos 2025: Theme

This year, the meeting will have the theme of 'Collaboration for the Intelligent Age', which will encompass five "distinct but highly interconnected thematic priorities", the WEF said on its website. These include:

  • Rebuilding trust

  • Reimagining growth

  • Investing in people

  • Safeguarding the planet

  • Industries in the intelligent age

The Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum will be held from Jan. 20 to Jan. 24 at Davos, Europe's highest town. The meeting will see government, business and civil society leaders joining hands to set an agenda for this year as to how they can make the world a better place for everyone.

Who All Are Attending?

US President-elect Donald Trump, EU President Ursula von der Leyen, China’s Vice-Premier Ding Xuexiang, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Argentina President Javier Milei, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Bangladesh government Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus and Palestinian National Authority Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa are some of the world leaders that will attend WEF Davos 2025.

Several organisational heads will also be present at the meeting. They include — António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations; Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization; Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund; Mark Rutte, Secretary-General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization; Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization; Achim Steiner, Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme.

Apart from them, more than 1600 business leaders, including over 900 of the world's top CEOs and Chairs from the World Economic Forum’s members and partners, will also grace the event.

Established over 50 years ago, the Annual Meeting of the WEF focuses on the evolving challenges around the world. The themes change every year. While leaders discuss how progress can be made, the WEF itself does not influence decisions or remarks made by policymakers and does not dictate public policies.
