Car Runs Into Crowd Outside Los Angeles Nightclub, Injuring Over 30
Three victims were in critical condition with six deemed serious and 19 in fair condition, the department said in an update.

A car slammed into a crowd early Saturday morning in East Hollywood, injuring dozens, including multiple victims transported to local hospitals, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The incident occurred around 2 a.m. local time near a nightclub on Santa Monica Boulevard. The driver was pulled from the vehicle and beaten, according to Los Angeles police. He also sustained a gunshot wound, but it was unclear when he was shot.
Images on social media showed a grey car straddling the sidewalk, surrounded by a chaotic scene of first responders, victims and debris.
Adam Van Gerpen, LA Fire Department spokesperson, told reporters that the vehicle hit a taco cart before running into people standing outside the venue. The driver may have lost consciousness before the crash, he said.
Latest estimates from the fire department show as many as seven victims in critical condition, with others in serious or fair condition. More than a dozen ambulances, fire engines, and specialized rescue teams responded to the scene.
