Two more Indian-flagged LPG tankers, carrying roughly a day's supply of the country's cooking gas, have safely navigated through the war-hit Strait of Hormuz and are expected to reach Indian shores in the next couple of days, news agency PTI reported.

An Iranian missile strike on a base in Saudi Arabia damaged several military jets and destroyed a valuable E-3 Sentry early warning and control aircraft — the first known combat loss for that type, news agency Bloomberg reported.

Jerusalem's major religious sites are shuttered and families are dejected and exhausted ahead of Passover and Easter as the Iran war enters its fifth week. The mood stands in stark contrast to a usual spring, when longer days herald a period of family gatherings and an influx of tourists for the major Jewish and Christian holidays.

Metal shutters are drawn on nearly all stores in the Old City, home to key holy sites, and only scattered footsteps echo on deserted stone alleyways. Vast plazas are missing the typical throngs of faithful and tourists.

Jerusalem has largely escaped past wars, with Israel's enemies appearing to be hesitant to launch missiles near the city's Muslim holy sites. But since Israel and the US launched strikes on Iran on February 28, Jerusalem has repeatedly come under fire.

The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned the attack targeting the residence of His Excellency Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, in Duhok Governorate, expressing its regret over this heinous act.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the UAE's full solidarity with His Excellency the President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and his family, as well as with the Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, during this difficult time. The UAE also expressed its strong condemnation of these criminal acts, reiterating its unwavering rejection of all forms of violence aimed at undermining security and stability

Oman's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned recent attacks on the Sultanate, stating that no party has claimed responsibility.

The statement read: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirms that the treacherous and cowardly attacks that recently targeted the Sultanate of Oman have not been claimed by any party, and the competent authorities continue to investigate their true source and motives. While the Sultanate of Oman condemns the ongoing war and all acts of violence and military targeting against all countries in the region, it remains committed to its steadfast principles based on practicing a policy of active neutrality and calling for the establishment of peace and the achievement of security and stability for all countries in the region, stopping the current war, and returning to dialogue and diplomacy to address the roots of the issues and the causes of the current conflict in the region, in preservation of its components, prosperity, and the safety of its peoples.
 

The official spokesperson for Ministry of Defense in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia said that 10 drones were intercepted and destructed during the last few hours.

Kuwait International Airport was hit by suspected Iranian drone strikes on Saturday, damaging radar systems and fuel storage facilities. Thick smoke rose from the airport, but no fatalities were reported. This isn't the first time the airport has been targeted since the US-Israeli war on Iran began.

The Kuwait Army expressed solidarity with the firefighting department, acknowledging their efforts in combating the fire caused by the attack on the airport's fuel tanks.

In line with the Ministry of Interior’s security and legal responsibilities to safeguard the security and safety of the nation and enhance civil protection, it has been decided to impose a strict ban on the use of drones, regardless of the purpose of such use, in light of efforts to address the repercussions of the heinous Iranian aggression against the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Ministry of Interior said that any drone used in violation of this ban will be intercepted and destroyed, and legal action will be taken against anyone who breaches the prohibition, which takes effect today and remains in place until further notice.
 

Iran has agreed to allow 20 more ships under the Pakistani flag to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said in an X post.

The post read, "I am pleased to share a great news that the Government of Iran has agreed to allow 20 more ships under the Pakistani flag to pass through the Strait of Hormuz; two ships will cross the Strait daily. Israeli defense officials said that most of Iran’s military-industrial infrastructure has already been damaged and that further strikes could push that figure to 90% within days.

IDF officials believe around 70% of the components of Iran’s military industry have already been damaged, and that the goal is to raise that figure to roughly 90% within days, a senior military officer said. According to the officer, the campaign has targeted surface-to-surface and surface-to-air missile infrastructure, defense ministry production sites, ballistic systems manufacturing facilities, and a headquarters involved in developing naval weapons.

Iranian attack hits Bahrain's Alba plant, injuring 2. Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) confirmed its facility was targeted on Saturday, causing minor injuries to two employees. 

In a statement, the company said safety remained its top priority. "The safety and security of Alba’s people remain its top priority and the company confirms that two of Alba’s employees sustained minor injuries," according to the statement, reported by Bahrain News Agency.

The Pentagon is gearing up for weeks of ground operations in Iran, with thousands of American soldiers and Marines arriving in the Middle East. This move signals a potential escalation of the war, should President Donald Trump decide to take further action. The plans include raids by special operations forces and conventional infantry troops, but stop short of a full-scale invasion, reports The Wall Street Journal. 

More than two dozen US troops have been wounded in Iranian attacks on Saudi Arabia's Prince Sultan Air Base in the past week, according to two people briefed on the matter who spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren't authorised to comment publicly. Iran fired six ballistic missiles and 29 drones at the base Friday, injuring at least 15 troops, five of them seriously.

The base, about 96 kilometers (60 miles) from the Saudi capital Riyadh, was attacked twice earlier in the week, including a strike that wounded 14 US troops, according to the people briefed on the matter. More than 300 US service members have been wounded in the war. At least 13 have been reported killed.

Iranian authorities say more than 1,900 people have been killed in the Islamic Republic, while 19 have been reported dead in Israel. In Lebanon, where Israel has started an invasion in the south while targeting the Hezbollah militant group, officials said that more than 1,100 people in the country have been killed since the start of the war.

In Iraq, where Iranian-supported militia groups have entered the conflict, 80 members of the security forces have died. In Gulf states, 20 people have been killed. Four have been killed in the occupied West Bank.
 

The Houthis' latest involvement would complicate the deployment of the USS Gerald R. Ford, the aircraft carrier that arrived in Croatia on Saturday for maintenance. Sending it to the Red Sea could draw attacks similar to those on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower in 2024 and the USS Harry S. Truman in 2025.

The Houthis have held Yemen's capital, Sanaa, since 2014. Saudi Arabia launched a war against the Houthis on behalf of Yemen's exiled government in 2015, and they now have an uneasy ceasefire.
 

Houthi Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree said on the rebels' Al-Masirah satellite television station that they launched missiles toward “sensitive Israeli military sites” in the south. If the Houthis increase attacks on commercial shipping, as they have in the past, it would further push up oil prices and destabilize “all of maritime security,” said Ahmed Nagi, a senior Yemen analyst at the International Crisis Group. “The impact would not be limited to the energy market.”

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) warned that American and Israeli universities in the Middle East region could be considered legitimate targets in retaliation for the US and Israeli strikes on Iranian academic institutions and heritage infrastructure.

The Houthis' entry could further hurt global shipping if they again target vessels in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait off the Red Sea, through which about 12 per cent of the world's trade typically passes.

Iranian-backed Houthi rebels entered the month-old war in the Middle East on Saturday, claiming two missile launches at Israel.

About 2,500 US Marines arrived in the region. And Pakistan's government said that regional powers plan to meet on Sunday to discuss how to end the fighting.
