Shraddha Kapoor Becomes Most Followed Celebrity Investor; Leaves Behind Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone

Shraddha Kapoor has left behind Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone to emerge as the most followed celebrity investor in the 2025 Candere Hurun India Women Leaders List.

The actress, who boasts an impressive 94.1 million followers on Instagram, has made significant strides as an investor. She has backed some of the emerging consumer brands, such as MyGlamm, Shunya, Koo and Chargeup. The 38-year-old's investment portfolio shows a major focus on lifestyle and fashion-centric ventures that resonate well with her personal style and influence.

She was last seen onscreen in the 2024 comedy horror Stree 2, which emerged as a huge success at the box office.

Following Shraddha, the Top 10 list features none other than global sensation Priyanka Chopra at the second position.

Priyanka, who has 92.4 million followers on Instagram, serves as the co-founder of Purple Pebble Pictures. The production house has backed award-winning projects like Ventilator and Paani. Apart from this, she is also the co-founder of Anomaly Haircare, known for its high-quality hair care products. 

After Shraddha and Priyanka, the next in the list is Alia Bhatt, who has 86.3 followers on the social media platform. She is the founder of clothing brand Ed-a-Mamma, focused on eco-friendly fashion. Alia also serves as the co-founder of the Eternal Sunshine Productions banner.

Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone rounded off the top five celebrities in the list. With 80.3 million Instagram followers, Katrina is the co-founder of popular make-up brand Kay Beauty. She has gained significant recognition in the beauty industry as her company offers high-quality products catering to wide range of skin tones.

Deepika is not far behind with 80.2 followers on Instagram. She is the co-founder of film production company KA Productions as well as the skincare brand 82°E.

Among other female stars from the entertainment industry, who have gone on to build their sustainable businesses beyond their careers in acting and modelling are Anushka Sharma (69.1 million), Disha Patani (61.3 million), Kriti Sanon (58.5 million), Rashmika Mandanna (46.1 million) and Sara Ali Khan (45.5 million).

Anushka Sharma is the co-founder of Clean Slate Filmz as well as the founder of the Nush clothing brand. 

Meanwhile, Disha Patani has also started as an investor by backing VS Mani & Co., famous for South Indian snacks and filter coffee. Kriti Sanon is the co-founder of Hyphen and Rashmika Mandanna ventured into this space through investment in beauty and personal care brand Plum.

Sara Ali Khan has investments in youth-centric fashion and pop culture brand The Souled Store.
