With the arrival of spring and the quick transition into summer, March will bring several important events, including the festival of Holi and International Women's Day.
Throughout the month, events of national and international importance will be observed. Some will focus on raising awareness, while others will mark the launch of new initiatives.
While no state elections are scheduled this month, Haryana will hold crucial municipal body elections. The elections at seven municipal corporations in Haryana: Faridabad, Gurugram, Manesar, Hisar, Karnal, Rohtak and Yamunanagar, are scheduled to be held on March 2.
The polls for four municipal councils and 21 municipal committees will also be held on this day. Polling for the Panipat Municipal Corporation will take place on March 9.
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and the Women's Premier League 2025 are set to conclude in March. The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League will commence on March 22. The cricketing extravaganza will kick off when the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) host the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata in the tournament opener.
