Atlys, a leading visa processing platform, has launched an initiative that could transform the way Indians travel internationally. The company announced India's first-ever visa sale, called "Atlys One Way Out," offering visas to multiple international destinations for just Re 1.

According to a report by the European Commission and Conde Nast Traveller, Indians who applied for visas in 2024 lost over Rs 664 crore because of non-refundable visa fees. To solve this issue, Atlys has launched an initiative for travellers who want to explore the world on a budget.

The two-day initiative will provide Indians a visa for just Re 1. The sale will run exclusively on the Atlys website on August 4 and 5, the visa processing platform announced in a press release.

Atlys founder and CEO Mohak Nahta said, "Atlys was created to eliminate friction from the visa process. With the One Way Out Sale, we are taking that mission even further."

"For the first time, travellers can get visas at a price that feels impossible. We want to challenge what people expect from this industry and prove that global travel can be truly within reach," Nahta added.

Where Can Indians Travel To With Re 1 Visa?

Indians will be able to apply for a visa to countries, including the UAE, UK, Vietnam, Indonesia, Australia, South Africa, Egypt, Hong Kong, Georgia, Oman, Morocco, Qatar, Kenya, and Taiwan, among others, for just Re 1.

Additionally, visa appointment bookings for nations requiring in-person interviews, such as the United States and certain Schengen countries, will also be available at Re 1.

Since the company's launch, it has processed over 2 million visas globally, according to the official release by Atlys.

Countries Likely To Witness Most Visa Applications

Over the last 60 days, Atlys has seen a rise in search inquiries for a variety of destinations, such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Georgia, the UK, and the UAE, with increases ranging from 18% to 44% over the preceding sixty days, the company's press release mentioned.

Users in tier 1 and tier 2 cities have been the main source of this momentum, with Gen Z and millennials playing a major role. Surprisingly, a large percentage of this increasing demand comes from first-time travellers.

Nahta said, "We anticipate the strongest demand for UAE visas during the sale, followed closely by the UK. Urban millennials and Gen Z from metro cities are likely to drive the most traffic."
