CBSE Board Issues Strict Warning Against Counterfeit And paper Leak Rumours Prior To Board Exams

The CBSE Class X and Class 12 exams are set to commence today, 17th February, 2026. The Central Board of Secondary Education has released an official statement, strongly cautioning against misinformation and fraudulent claims. This notice specifically addresses the rumours circulating on social media regarding potential question paper leaks.

The Central Board of Secondary Education has noted that in previous years, there have been individuals attempting to spread false information during examination periods. These communications were often paired with misleading claims about the leakage of the Class X or Class XII question papers. Additionally, counterfeit question papers have been disseminated online and misrepresented as genuine.

The Board has emphasised that this is not the case and that they are attempting to mislead individuals. Speculations have the ability to disrupt the concentration of students. The Board has urged parents, students, and schools to act responsibly and refrain from engaging with unverified content on social media platforms.

CBSE has warned that unnecessary panic could arise from believing, sharing, or forwarding unconfirmed messages. When students need to remain calm and focused for their preparation, these speculations may jeopardise their readiness and induce stress.

Security measures in place

The Board has guaranteed that a robust system is in place to ensure that the examinations operate efficiently, securely, and impartially. They have indicated that rigorous measures have been established, as in previous years, to maintain the integrity of the examination procedure.

CBSE has also declared that any dissemination of false information or disruptions to the examination process will be dealt with in accordance with applicable laws and guidelines.

To receive accurate updates and clarifications regarding the Class X and Class XII board examinations, CBSE has advised concerned individuals to utilise only official communication channels.
