What iPhone 17 Air And iPhone 17 Pro Max May Look Like; Take A Sneak Peek
Eyeing the upcoming iPhone 17 Air and iPhone 17 Pro Max? Leaked renders suggest that Apple seems to be adopting a horizontal camera bar similar to the Google Pixel series.
Apple is set to release its thinnest iPhone ever this year, the aptly named iPhone 17 Air, and multiple leaks suggest that the iPhone 17 lineup will undergo a significant design overhaul. Recent 3D renders and CAD (computer-aided design) leaks hint at a new rear camera layout, a slimmer profile, and the introduction of the iPhone 17 Air, a model that could redefine Apple’s smartphone aesthetics. Check what may be in store for Apple iPhone 17 Pro too, as per the latest leak.
Leaked renders shared by insider Majin Bu suggest that Apple is moving towards a horizontal camera bar across three models – iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. This design is similar to Google’s Pixel 9 lineup.

While the Pixel phones have multiple lenses, the iPhone 17 Air will feature a single camera, similar to the iPhone 16e. The iPhone 17 Pro Max variant will have a larger camera bump, accommodating its signature triple-lens setup, with the flash positioned at the far end of the island.
Prominent leaker Ice Universe recently posted a 360-degree CAD render video of the iPhone 17 Air on X, showing a design nearly identical to Majin Bu’s leaks.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has dismissed these leaks, claiming they stem from an incorrect Apple sketch. Another highly reputable insider claims to have seen the iPhone 17 Air in development and confirms that the designs are, in fact, accurate, as per a PhoneArena report.

The iPhone 17 Air is rumoured to be just 5.58mm thick, making it the slimmest iPhone ever. This has raised concerns about battery life, but reports suggest that Apple will use new battery technology to compensate for the lost thickness.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to be slightly thicker, which could allow for a larger battery and improved performance.
Beyond the physical redesign, the iPhone 17 lineup could bring long-awaited upgrades, including:
A higher refresh rate on the base iPhone model – finally moving past 60Hz.
A revamped Siri, which has been delayed multiple times.
Lighter and more compact form factors, despite improved battery efficiency.
If these leaks hold true, the iPhone 17 series could mark one of Apple’s boldest design changes in years.
