The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are expected to cost the same as the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, as per an update shared on social media by a reputed tipster.

The prices will be same in "most of the markets", said the tipster, whose handle is named 'PandaFlash' on social media platform X.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, during its launch in India, was priced at around Rs 1,64,999 for the base model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

According to the leak, its highly likely that the new model from the South Korean phone maker would be in the same price range.

Meanwhile, Samsung had launched the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 at the Galaxy Unpacked event on Jan 22. Their flagship features included running on the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.

The S25 model was launched with new software features powered by One UI 7. It has a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED FHD+ screen with an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120 Hz, and a camera system with 50MP primary, 12MP ultrawide, and 10MP telephoto like the S25 Plus.

Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 7 sheds light on the foldable phones segment. According to Mark Gurman, an expert on Apple products, the iPhone maker has also made forays into the foldable device technology but was a lot less keen due to facing issues with creases in their prototypes.

"Foldables are microscopic part of market and the iPhone clearly still is the overall leader. But it’s rare for Apple to bet against or fall behind in so many emerging areas," Gurman said on a post on X.

"But I believe in the form factor and a foldable iPhone at Apple expected standards would be the best Apple device to date and change the game," he added.
