Reliance is not only going aggressive with its Jio 4G data service, but also making the Lyf phones as affordable as possible. According to the company, any consumer can now buy the Reliance Lyf 4G phone starting from as low as Rs 2,999. The phone gets bundled with free 4G data (unlimited) for period of three months.
Reliance Jio 4G is yet to be rolled out for the public, but for those who can't wait to try out their so-called high-speed internet, can buy one of Lyf phones today. These are available across Reliance Digital outlets across cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai among others right now.
One must keep in mind that the Jio 4G comes locked with the Lyf phones, which means you cannot use the bundled SIM with any other phone. Having said that, the appeal of unlimited 4G data for three months, along with calls is something that most of us will find hard to ignore.
We are yet to test the capability of the Jio 4G service, but most people in the know have said speeds up to 30 mbps is the norm.
It is being said that once Reliance officially comes out with the Jio 4G, anyone can avail up to 10GB of 4G data by paying as low as Rs 93. These prices will surely herald the true competition in the 4G space between Reliance, and the existing duo of Airtel and Vodafone.
