iPhone 17 Air: Latest Leaks Unveil Camera Control Button, MagSafe, Action Button; Check Price Too

Apple is set to launch its iPhone 17 Air sometime in September. WHile Apple is a very secretive company, analysts manage to eke out some details from various sources. And the latest iPhone 17 Air leaks have revealed three special features for the device — a Camera Control button, MagSafe wireless charging and an Action Button. All of these are revealed below and you can check iPhone 17 Air price too.

• Camera Control button: Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, in his Power On newsletter, said that the iPhone 17 Air will include the Camera Control button. It was first seen on all iPhone 16 models in 2024. This button provides fast access to camera settings, making it easier to take photos and shoot videos. Considering that the Air is such a thin model, the presence of the button is a special achievement.

• MagSafe wireless charging: Leaked prototype models from March 16 show that the iPhone 17 Air will support MagSafe wireless charging. This feature was missing in iPhone 16e. Fresh leaks suggest that Apple has integrated this feature into iPhone 17 Air. 

• Action Button: The Action button was first seen on recent iPhone Pro models. It allows users to customise shortcuts for various tasks, such as launching apps, activating silent mode or running automation commands.

• 6.6-inch always-on OLED display with 120Hz ProMotion support

• The thinnest iPhone ever, measuring 5.5mm at its slimmest point

• 48MP single rear camera, housed in a new camera bar design instead of the traditional camera bump

• At its thickest point, including the camera bar, the device measures 9.5mm

• A 24MP front-facing camera positioned on the left side of the Dynamic Island, unlike previous iPhones

• Powered by Apple’s A19 chip (not the A19 Pro), paired with 8GB RAM

• eSIM-only worldwide due to the constraints of the ultra-thin design

• Apple’s C1 modem, which means no support for mmWave 5G

• A single speaker housed in the earpiece, as there isn’t enough space for dual bottom speakers

• Battery life on par with existing iPhone models, despite the ultra-thin design

• Apple’s in-house Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip, replacing Broadcom components

• A starting price of around $899, similar to the iPhone 16 Plus
