Google Pixel 9a Sale: In Bizarre Twist, Listing Seen Ahead Of Launch; Here's What We Know

In a bizarre turn of events, the Google Pixel 9a smartphone looks  to have been listed for sale ahead of launch. Yes, the Google Pixel 9a has surfaced for sale even before its official announcement. The Google smartphone was listed on a German retailer’s website and a UAE classifieds platform. According to GSMArena, the Google Pixel 9a appeared on the website of German retailer Technomarkt, but the listing was removed thereafter. The page displayed official images, detailed specifications, and it even listed Google Pixel 9a price of €549 (around Rs 52,000).

The listing revealed that the Google Pixel 9a will likely feature a 6.3-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2,700 nits. It also indicated that the smartphone will come in two storage variants of 128GB and 256GB, accompanied by 8GB of RAM.

Powering the device will be be Google's Tensor G4 chipset. The Pixel 9a will pack a 5,100mAh battery. It also mentioned that the Google Pixel 9a colorways would include Grey, Rose, Black and Violet options.

In terms of cameras, the phone is said to include a 48MP main sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide lens, consistent with previous leaks. The device will also come with Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Apart from the German retailer, a separate listing of the Google Pixel 9a was found on a UAE-based classifieds platform. Unlike the first listing, this was posted by an individual seller instead of an official store.

The Google Pixel 9a price there was revealed as AED 2,350 (around Rs 55,000). The post also included images of the smartphone box, further verifying the device’s existence.

The appearance of these listings suggest that Google may launch the Pixel 9a any time now even though it has not yet provided an official launch date.

The German listing even mentioned an estimated delivery window of 10-14 days, indicating that the phone is already in circulation.

But with so much information already leaked — including hands-on videos and unofficial sales — there may not be many surprises left when Google finally launches the Pixel 9a.

Reports suggest that Google will introduce a special promotion in certain Eurozone markets for customers buying the Google Pixel 9a from select partners. As part of this offer, buyers may receive a free Google TV Streamer (4K), typically priced at €119 (around Rs 11,200), adding extra value to their purchase.
