Google Pixel 10 Series Camera Specs Revealed: Expect This Major Change In Base Model
Google Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL are likely to retain the same camera setup as last year, with no major upgrades expected in these models.

Google Pixel 10 series is likely to introduce major features for its camera setup, aimed at enabling superior performance. The device will reportedly come with a dedicated telephoto lens, a feature so far seen only on the Pro models of the Pixel devices.
According to Android Authority, while Google is planning to introduce a telephoto lens in the Pixel 10 series, other details about camera specifications are not known yet.
The upgrade, however, is expected to come at a cost that may not go down well with the users. Leaks suggest that to make room for the new telephoto lens, the main and ultrawide cameras will be downgraded. Reportedly, these cameras will use components from the Pixel 9a to support this change.
The report added that the Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL will retain the same camera setup as last year, and no major upgrades are expected in these models. However, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is likely to be launched with a minor upgrade involving an updated primary camera sensor.
The report cited an internal Google source, which shared the details on the anticipated changes to the camera setup in the new series.
The revamped strategy for Pixel 10 series could be a shift for Google from its traditional pattern for camera setups. Since Pixel 6, the US-based tech giant has introduced wide and ultrawide lenses for base models in the series. Meanwhile, the Pro models have been supported by additional telephoto cameras to set them apart.
The feature, now in base model, will likely impress users, particularly photo enthusiasts due to its advanced specifications. The long-focus lens offers enhanced camera experience compared to a wide lens for capturing distant subjects. Its enhanced focus length feature offers a narrower field of view, which helps distant objects appear closer.
Details of the changes will only be known when the device is officially launched. While confirmation is still awaited, Google is likely to launch the Pixel 10 series in August.
