Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 37th National Games at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Margao, Goa on Thursday. He will also address athletes taking part in the Games.
The National Games are being held in Goa for the very first time. More than 10,000 athletes from across the country will compete in over 43 sports disciplines across 28 venues.

National Games 2023: Opening Ceremony
Goa-born Indian professional windsurfer Katya Ida Coelho will hand over the torch to PM Modi to inaugurate the 37th National Games on Thursday, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said on Tuesday.
The five-hour-long grand opening ceremony at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda will feature performances by renowned artists, including Sukhwinder Singh and state's Hema Sardesai, Sawant said.
There will be an athlete's parade of the 28 participating teams. There will also be 600 artists who will perform on the theme of the National integration, Sawant said.
The chief minister further said around 5,000 students would be part of the 12,000-crowd who will attend the inaugural ceremony of the National Games.

National Games 2023 Opening Ceremony: Live Streaming
The opening ceremony of the National Games 2023 will start at 4 PM IST. It will be telecast live on the DD Sports TV channel while JioCinema and National Games Goa 2023's YouTube channel will livestream it.
