Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Ltd. is the largest private health insurer in India with a market share of 15.8% in the Indian health insurance market as of FY21.
In FY21, H1 FY22, it had total gross written premium of Rs 9,348.95 crore, Rs 5,069.78 crore, respectively.
Star Health is strategically focused on the retail health market segment and had retail health GWP of Rs 8,215.09 crore in FY21.
As of September 30, 2021, its distribution network had grown to 779 branches spread across 25 states and five union territories in India.
