The insurance sector in India remains one of the most promising industries due to its low penetration and significant growth potential. According to the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), India is expected to become the sixth-largest insurance market in the next decade, surpassing countries like Germany and Canada.

In the first quarter of FY25, India's life insurance sector saw a 22.91% year-on-year growth in first-year premiums. This means the total value reached to a whopping Rs 89,726.7 crore. Additionally, the recent income tax rebate relief offered by the government for up to Rs 12 lakh income is expected to further encourage people's interest in the sector.

According to some estimates, India's insurance market will likely reach $222 billion by 2026. Hence, investors are expected to closely monitor the sector's upcoming Q4 results, which will provide crucial insights into the insurance companies' performance and potential for their growth.

HDFC Life Insurance will announce the Q4 results on April 17. In an exchange filing, the company said a meeting of its Board of Directors will take place on April 17 for approval of audited standalone and consolidated financial results for the fourth quarter and financial year ending March 31 2025.

The Board will also discuss the potential recommendation for a dividend for FY 2024-25. Additionally, the formulation of an employee stock option scheme will be considered, subject to the approval of the shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting.

The trading window for promoters, designated employees, directors, and their immediate relatives will remain closed from April 1 to April 19.

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance will hold its Board of Directors meeting on April 15 to approve the audited financial results for the quarter and year ended March 31. The results will be disclosed post-meeting. In a regulatory filing, the company confirmed that the trading window to deal in the company’s securities will remain shut from April 1 to April 17 for all designated persons (including directors) and their immediate relatives.

ICICI Lombard General Insurance is set to announce the results for the fourth quarter and the financial year 2024-25 on April 15. In an exchange filing, the company announced a meeting of its Board of Directors on April 15 to consider and approve audited financial results and financial statements for the fourth quarter and FY25. The Board will also recommend dividends, if any, for FY25.

The trading window for dealing in the securities of the company will remain closed for all designated persons and their immediate relatives from April 1 to April 17.
