Nalco Q3 Results: Profit Jumps Over Threefold, Dividend Of Rs 4 Per Share

National Aluminium Co.'s consolidated net profit rose over threefold in the third quarter of the current financial year, beating analysts' estimates.

The aluminium manufacturer's profit increased to Rs 1,566 crore in the December quarter in comparison to Rs 471 crore in the year-ago period, according to an exchange filing on Monday. Analysts tracked by Bloomberg had a consensus estimate of a Rs 1,183-crore profit.

  • Margin expands to 49.9% versus 23.1% (Estimate: 40.8%).

The automobile company announced an interim dividend of Rs 4 per share at a face value of Rs 5 on the paid‐up equity share capital of Rs 918.32 crore for the financial year 2024‐25. The board has set Feb. 14 as the record date for determining the shareholders eligible for the dividend payout.

This marks the second interim dividend issued by the company this fiscal, following a previous dividend of the same amount disbursed in November 2024.

Shares of Nalco closed 5.03% lower at Rs 190.41 apiece on the NSE, compared to a 0.71% decline in the benchmark Nifty. It has risen 21.30% in the last 12 months.

Five analysts tracking the company have a 'buy' rating on the stock, three recommend 'hold' and as many suggest 'sell', according to Bloomberg data. The average of 12-month analysts' consensus price targets implies a potential upside of 33.6%.
