Bihar Exit Polls Live: Exit Polls Show RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav In Pole Position

Bihar exit poll results are out, after the third phase of polling today. Janata Dal (United) leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is trying to retain his position for the third straight time in this elections. Tejashwi Yadav is leading the opposition alliance, which includes the Rashtriya Janata Dal, Congress, Left parties and other smaller parties.

The third and final phase of polling concluded in Bihar for 78 constituencies with 2.3 crore voters. That includes important constituencies like Simri Bakhtiyarpur, Supaul, Bihariganj, Purnia and Katihar. The turnout has been healthy so far with more than 45% of the voters having already cast their vote by 3 p.m., according to the Election Commission of India.

Tejashwi Yadav, son of former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, is leading the opposition alliance, which includes the Rashtriya Janata Dal, Congress, Left parties and other smaller parties.

Janata Dal (United) leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is trying to retain his position for the third straight time in this elections. The JD(U) is fighting this election in alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party. An NDA ally, the Lok Janshakti Party, walked out of the alliance just before elections, with its leader Chirag Paswan criticising Nitish Kumar.

The BJP has maintained that it will continue to support the Nitish Kumar government, and the Prime Minister also campaigned for the JD(U)-BJP alliance.
