(Bloomberg) --
Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed called on G-20 leaders to assist Africa with $150 billion in emergency funding and write off or convert debts of low-income countries.
The coronavirus “poses an existential threat to the economies of African countries,” Abiy said in a statement Tuesday. “Ethiopia proposes all interest payments to government loans should be written off.”
