PM Internship Scheme Application Deadline Extended Again: Key Details Here

The deadline for submitting applications for the PMIS 2025 has been extended to Apr. 22.

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has once again extended the registration deadline for the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) 2025. Candidates can now submit their applications till Apr. 22.

Initially scheduled to close on Mar. 12, the deadline was first extended to Mar. 31, then to Apr. 15, and has now been pushed further to Apr. 22. Candidates can apply online through the official PM Internship website: pminternship.mca.gov.in.

What is the PM Internship Scheme?

Launched on October 3, 2024, the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) is aimed at providing internship opportunities across the top 500 companies for young individuals. This flagship, government-backed initiative is specifically designed to equip youth—especially those from non-premier institutions—with industry-relevant skills and practical exposure. It offers a unique chance to gain hands-on experience across diverse sectors, helping bridge the gap between academia and industry.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for the scheme, candidates must meet the following criteria:

- The applicant must be an Indian citizen.

- Candidates should be between 21 and 24 years of age as of the last date of application.

- Candidates should not be engaged in full-time employment or full-time education. However, those who enrolled in correspondence, distance, or online learning programs are eligible.

- The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed Rs 8 lakhs, while no immediate family member should hold a permanent government position.

- Have completed any one of the following:

* Class 10 (SSC) or Class 12 (HSC)

* Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or equivalent

* Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or equivalent

* Diploma from a Polytechnic Institute

* Holds a certificate from an Industrial Training Institute (ITI)

* Graduates with degrees such as BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, B.Pharma, etc., from UGC or AICTE-recognised institutions.

How to apply for the PM Internship Scheme 2025?

Here is the step-by-step application process for the PM Internship Scheme 2025.

Step 1: Visit the official website at pminternship.mca.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on the registration link and enter your mobile number for OTP verification, followed by providing the necessary personal and educational details to create an account.

Step 3: Log in to your account using the credentials created during registration.

Step 4: Fill out the application form with the required information and upload documents like the Aadhaar Card and educational certificates.

Step 5: Select up to five internship opportunities and submit the application.

Step 6: Save and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
