Ethiopia forecasts its economic growth will accelerate to 8.5% in the fiscal year beginning July 8 from 6% this year, national broadcaster EBC reported, citing Minister of Finance Ahmed Shide's budget presentation to lawmakers.
The Horn of African nation is increasing its budget by nearly a quarter to 476 billion birr ($13.7 billion) as economic reforms including privatization and improved revenue collection take shape.
