(Bloomberg) -- Democrat Conor Lamb beat three-term Republican Representative Keith Rothfus in Pennsylvania's newly drawn 17th Congressional District, CNN and NBC projected.
Lamb enjoyed a name-recognition boost since he pulled off an upset in a House special election earlier this year in a different district, defeating Republican State Representative Rick Saccone. Rothfus lost some of his incumbent advantage in the new district, which isn't as safely Republican.
