National Democratic Alliance MPs on Tuesday passed a unanimous resolution on the success of Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev and felicitated Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The leaders took part in the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting in the national capital.

The resolution also issued condolences to the family members of the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack.

"The NDA Parliamentary Party hails the decisive response that delivered justice for the mothers and daughters of India, aptly named Operation Sindoor. It was indeed a powerful reflection of the nation's resolve under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi," the resolution said.

It said the US designating The Resistance Front (TRF), responsible for the Pahalgam attack, a terrorist organisation and and BRICS Joint Declaration condemning Pahalgam attack reflect a win for India's diplomatic stance against Pakistan-supported terrorism.

Amid chants of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai', senior leaders of the BJP and its allies joined in felicitating Modi.

The government has asserted that the military attack on terror sites in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Pakistan following the heinous Pahalgam attack on April 22 brought the neighbouring country to its knees.

As many as 26 people, mostly tourists, were shot dead by terrorists at Baisaran meadows in Pahalgam, which prompted the armed forces to launch Operation Sindoor on May 7 against the terror infrastructure in Pakistan.

The armed forces also eliminated terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir last week under Operation Mahadev at Mulnar in the Harwan area near Dachigam National Park. The mastermind of the Pahalgam attack was reportedly killed in the operation.

Notably, Aug. 5 marks six years since the abrogation of Article 370 and the demotion of Jammu and Kashmir from a state to a union territory. Ladakh was carved out as a separate UT.

This was only the second such meeting of MPs of the BJP-led ruling alliance during Parliament's sessions since the NDA government was formed in June 2024. The BJP fell short of a majority last year and had to rely on regional allies to start a third term.
