After four consecutive days of monsoon mayhem in Mumbai, the city woke up to a relatively calmer morning. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert nowcast for Mumbai today, the Thane and Panvel Municipal Corporations have announced holidays for schools and colleges in their areas.

Mumbai Rains News LIVE: All Systems Were Operational, Says BMC

Officers, engineers, pump operators, health workers, employees, emergency teams, and all staff were working on-site, amidst the heavy rainfall occurred over the past two-three days, said BMC.

Against the backdrop of the rainfall, all systems of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation were actively and promptly operational on the ground.

Mumbai Rains News LIVE: Churchgate-Dahanu Road Trains Delayed By 20-25 Mins

Western Railway suburban train services across Churchgate - Dahanu Road Suburban Section are running with delays of 20–25 minutes, as per Western Railway's statement.

Despite heavy and continuous rainfall over the past few days & last night,

"Waterlogging has been reported at Vasai Road station, and local trains on Up Fast line are operating with caution and restricted speed," it added.

The water levels in seven major lakes in Mumbai have surged near full capacity following heavy rainfall in the city during the past two days. Four of these reservoirs supplying water to the city have reached their peak capacity, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation data showed on Wednesday.

Thane, Kalyan & interior MMR to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall, as per Rushikesh Agre (aka Mumbai Rains) on X.

Borivali - Andheri stretch, Vasai, Virar, Bhayandar tp receive consistent moderate-heavy rains, he added.

Navi Mumbai and rest of Mumbai to receive on-off showers, he further added.
