At least 10 persons are feared dead in a massive cloudburst that struck a remote village en route the Machail Mata yatra in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, as per PTI report.

"A flash flood has occurred at Chashoti area in Kishtwar, which is the starting point of the Machail Mata Yatra. Rescue Operations have been started," said Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Sharma

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has shared high tide alert for Mumbai today.

"Mumbai city and suburbs will generally be cloudy. Moderate rain is expected in some areas, with the possibility of heavy rainfall in isolated places," it added.

• Low Tide - 9:14 PM - 0.77 meters

• High Tide - 3:54 AM (next day, 15 August 2025) - 3.99 meters

Rain bands drifting seaward from the coast, according to Rushikesh Agre (aka Mumbai Rains) on X.

"Weak westerlies for now as mentioned but with large rain bands on the coast. Looks rain free at the moment that being said expect them to strengthen later today once the pattern sets," he added.

IMD has issued Orange alert for Yavatmal, Chandrapur and Amravati District of Maharashtra for today.

IMD has issued Yellow alert for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Jalgaon, Nashik and Pune.
