For equity markets, Samvat 2075 was volatile' because of domestic and global cues.

Stocks went through crests and troughs over a tariff war between the U.S. and China, India's now-rolled back tax surcharge, liquidity shortage a consumption slowdown to a cut in corporate tax rates.

The benchmark Nifty wiped off losses and is trading 10 percent higher, propped up by a handful of heavyweights and trades at a 16 percent premium to its 10-year valuations. But the broader market hasn't recovered from the rout as Nifty mid- and small-cap indices dropped nearly 8 percent and 12 percent.

Analysts BloombergQuint spoke with suggest using the dip in the broader market as a buying opportunity.

Sudip Bandyopadhyay, group chairman of Inditrade JRG Group; Amit Khurana, director of research at Dolat Capital; and Vinay Khattar, head of Edelweiss Investment Research, suggest their picks for Samvat 2076.
