The Nifty 50 and Sensex ended on a mixed note after erasing most losses from intraday lows. HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, and ICICI Bank shares weighed on the Nifty 50 index. The Nifty PSU Bank emerged as the top sectoral gainer, while the Nifty FMCG emerged as the worst sectoral index.
