The Nifty 50 and Sensex ended higher tracking a rise in Infosys Ltd. and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. Auto stocks like Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. shares weighed on Nifty 50 index. The NSE Nifty IT outperformed sectoral indices for two session in a row. The NSE Nifty Auto continued to consolidate after rallying for several session.

AMFI: August Inflows Into Active Equity Mutual Funds Decline 22% At Rs 33,430 Crore

Actively managed equity mutual funds recorded a Rs 33,430.37 crore inflow during August, lower by 22% compared to the inflow of Rs 42,702.35 crore recorded in July, as per the monthly data released by the Association of Mutual Funds in India.

Inflows across the board saw its slip as compared to July. Net inflow of the mutual fund industry was at Rs 52,442.78 crore, as compared to an inflow of Rs 1.79 lakh crore the previous month.
