Indices End Higher

Benchmark indices ended Thursday's session in the green for the second consecutive day with NSE Nifty 50 closing 207.40 points, or 0.93% higher at 22,544.70, while the BSE Sensex closed 609.86 points or 0.83% up at 74,340.09.

Top Gainers

Shares of Reliance Industries Ltd., Axis Bank Ltd., Tata Consultancy Services Ltd., NTPC Ltd. and Asian Paints Ltd. positively contributed to changes in the Nifty.

Top Losers

Shares of Tech Mahindra Ltd., Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd., Trent Ltd., Bharat Electronics Ltd. and HDFC Life Insurance Co. negatively contributed to the change.

Sectoral Performance

Most sectoral indices rose with Nifty Oil and Gas and Nifty Metal in the lead. Nifty Realty was the only sector in red.
