Grasim Industries Ltd., Tech Mahindra Ltd., Dr. Reddy Laboratories Ltd., Tata Motors Ltd. and Adani Enterprises Ltd. were the biggest gainers in the NSE Nifty 50 on Tuesday.
Trent Ltd., Asian Paints Ltd., Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., Bajaj Finance Ltd. and Tata Steel Ltd. were among the biggest losers.
Grasim closed 3.66% higher at Rs 2,704 apiece. Tech Mahindra came in second, closing 2.14% higher at Rs 1,612 apiece, followed by Dr. Reddy's Laboratories closing 2.1% up at Rs 1,346.8 per share. Tata Motors and Adani Enterprises were also among the winners.
Among the laggards, there was Trent, closing 1.68% lower at Rs 5,814 apiece, followed by Asian Paints closing 1.33% lower at Rs 2,217 apiece. Maruti Suzuki came in third, closing 1.31% lower at Rs 12,472 apiece. Bajaj Finance and Tata Steel were also a part of the losing lot.
The benchmark equity indices closed flat on Tuesday, with the BSE Sensex breaking their four-session winning streak.
The NSE Nifty 50 ended 1.05 points higher at 25,104.25, while the BSE Sensex closed 53.49 points or 0.06% lower at 82,39.72. During the day, the Nifty rose 0.38% to trade at 25,199.3 and the Sensex advanced 0.29% to 82,680.79.
