Nifty Top Gainers, Losers On July 10: Maruti Suzuki, Tata Steel To Bharti Airtel, Asian Paints

The NSE Nifty 50 ended 0.47% down at 25,355.55, while the BSE Sensex closed 0.41% lower at 83,190.28.

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., IndusInd Bank Ltd., Tata Steel Ltd., Bajaj Finance Ltd. and Jio Financial Services Ltd. were among the top gainers in the NSE Nifty 50 on Tuesday.

Bharti Airtel Ltd., Asian Paints Ltd., HDFC Life Insurance Co., Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. and Shriram Finance Ltd. dragged.

Marking the highest losses for the day, Bajaj Airtel declined nearly 2.78%. Asian Paints ended 2.10% lower. HDFC Life and Apollo Hospitals closed over 1% lower. Shriram Finance stock also declined 1.39%.

Maruti Suzuki shares led gains, rising 1.39%. IndusInd Bank and Tata Steel closed nearly 1% up. While Bajaj Finance shares advanced 0.66%, shares of Jio Finance also closed in the green, rising 0.59%.

Nifty and Sensex fell for the second consecutive day, primarily dragged down by Nifty IT.

All sectoral indices experienced losses in trade, except for Realty, Metal, and Oil and Gas. Nifty PSU Bank and IT sectors ended as the top losers for the day, while TCS closed on a flat note ahead of its earnings announcement.

Additionally, Nifty Midcap 150 declined for the fifth day in a row, with Bharat Dynamics and Solar Industries being the top losers in this index.
