Eternal Ltd., Titan Ltd., ONGC, SBI Life and IndusInd Bank Ltd. were among the top gainers on the NSE Nifty 50 on Monday.
Jio Finance Ltd., Tech Mahindra Ltd., Wipro Ltd., Asian Paints Ltd. and Infosys Ltd. dragged the index.
Eternal shares led gains, rising 2.90%. Titan and ONGC closed nearly 1.20% and over 1.02% up, respectively. While SBI Life shares advanced 0.88%, shares of IndusInd Bank also closed in the green, rising 0.83%.
Marking the highest losses for the day, Jio Finance declined nearly 2%. Tech Mahindra ended 1.61% lower. Wipro and Asian Paints closed nearly 1.57% and 1.54% lower, respectively. Infosys stock also fell 1.53%.
The benchmark Indices underperformed broader market Indices, as Nifty and BSE ended lower for the fourth consecutive day.
The NSE Nifty 50 ended 0.27% lower at 25,082.30, while the BSE Sensex closed 0.30% lower at 82,253.46.
