Nifty 50 Top Gainers And Losers On Feb. 25: From Bharti Airtel, Mahindra & Mahindra To TCS And L&T
Mahindra & Mahindra was one of the top contributors to the Nifty index for the second consecutive day on Tuesday.

Bharti Airtel Ltd., Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd., and ICICI Bank Ltd. emerged as the top gainers during the trading session on Tuesday. On the other hand, Reliance Industries Ltd., Tata Consultancy Services Ltd., and Larsen & Toubro Ltd. were the worst performers in the NSE Nifty 50 index.
Indian benchmark indices ended Tuesday's session mixed, with the metal sector declining the most, while media emerged as a top sectoral gainer. The Nifty 50 ended 5.80 points, or 0.03% lower at 22,547,55, while the BSE Sensex closed 147.71 points or 0.20% higher at 74,602.12. Intraday, Sensex gained 0.44% to 74,785.08.
In terms of sectoral performance, four out of the 12 sectors ended in the green. The top laggards in Tuesday's trade were Nifty Metal, Nifty Realty and Nifty PSU Banks. The Nifty Media, Nifty Auto Nifty FMCG and Nifty Finance were the sectors that ended the day in green.

Bharti Airtel, the top gainer in the Nifty 50 index, closed 2.32% higher after it rose over 2% on Tuesday. This comes after Goldman Sachs hiked its target price to Rs 1,780 from the earlier Rs 1,700. The brokerage has however, maintained its buy rating. It also said that the Ebitda estimates for Bharti's India segment is higher by up to 8%-11%.
Mahindra & Mahindra has been one of the top contributors to the Nifty index for the second consecutive day on Tuesday. Extending its gains, M&M shares closed 2.53% higher after it rose over 3.50% to Rs 2,803.95 per share.
Bajaj Finance's stock rallied up to 2.06% to Rs 8,526.65 before closing 1.60% higher. ICICI Bank Ltd. also closed in the positive after it rose 1.09% to touch Rs 1,231.65.
On the flip side, TCS shares plunged up to 1.44%, before closing 1.25% lower at Rs 3,675.60 apiece. RIL slipped during the session and closed 1.03% lower at Rs 1,202. L&T shares also closed 0.98% lower at Rs 3,257.70.
Hindalco Ltd. and Sun Pharma were also amongst the worst performers for the day, as they closed 3.01% and 1.70% lower, respectively.
