Nifty Top Gainers And Losers On Jan. 10: From TCS, Tech Mahindra To Shriram Finance, IndusInd Bank

The Nifty and Sensex continued their fall for the third consecutive day but gains in IT stocks minimised the fall.

Share prices of Shriram Finance Ltd., IndusInd Bank Ltd., Adani Enterprises Ltd., NTPC Ltd. and Bharat Electronics Ltd were the top losers among the NSE Nifty 50 stocks.

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd., Tech Mahindra Ltd., HCL Technologies Ltd., Wipro Ltd. and Infosys Ltd., were the top gainers following TCS' quarterly results.

The Nifty and the BSE Sensex continued their fall for a third consecutive session on Friday but gains in IT stocks minimised the fall. The Nifty ended 95 points or 0.4% lower at 23,431.5, while the Sensex lost 241.3 points or 0.31% to close at 77,378.91. On a weekly basis, they closed over 2% down.

Top Gainers

TCS rose the most among the Nifty stocks and ended 5.6% higher after its third-quarter earnings "ticked all boxes", with the management commentary being the most positive over the last two years, according to analysts.

This was followed by Tech Mahindra, which snapped five-session fall, and closed 3.7% higher at Rs 1,704.5. HCLTech rose as much as 3.5% intraday to hit its lifetime high of Rs 2,002.35. Wipro and Infosys were also among top gainers.

Top Losers

Shriram Finance fell the most among Nifty stocks. It fell for a sixth consecutive session and hit a low of Rs 529, its lowest level since July 2025. The stock fell as the stock traded ex-split.

IndusInd Bank was the second-most loser among Nifty stocks. It fell for a third consecutive session on Friday and closed 4.2% down. Adani Enterprises, NTPC, and Bharat Electronics closed nearly 4% lower.
