FPI Remain Net Sellers, Selling Rs 485 Crore Worth Of Equities

Foreign portfolio investors continued to remain net sellers of Indian equities for the 13th straight session on Monday as they net offloaded stocks worth Rs 485 crore.
Domestic institutional investors stayed net buyers for the 23rd straight session as they net bought equities worth Rs 263.51crore, according to provisional data from the National Stock Exchange.
On Friday, the FPIs offloaded equities worth Rs 2,377.3 crore. In February, the FPIs net offloaded equities worth Rs 34,574 crore, according to the National Securities Depository Ltd.'s data.
This was preceded by net selling of Rs 78,027 crore in January. In 2025 so far, the overseas investors have net sold equities worth Rs 14.05 lakh crore, the NSDL data showed.
The benchmark equity indices ended in the red on Monday, with the realty, and oil and gas sectors declining the most.
The NSE Nifty 50 snapped three sessions of gains and ended 92.20 points or 0.41% lower at 22,460.30, while the BSE Sensex closed 217.41 points or 0.29% down at 74,115.17.
