Shares of CIE Automotive India Ltd., Muthoot Finance Ltd., Ami Organics Ltd. and Sanofi India Ltd. will trade ex/record-date for their corporate actions this week.

CIE Automotive will record its shareholders' roster on Wednesday for its final dividend of Rs 7 for the financial year 2024–25. Muthoot Finance (interim dividend) and Sanofi India (final dividend of Rs 117) will record their shareholders on Friday.

The record/ex-date for Ami Organics' stock split of two shares for every one held will be on Friday.

Sterlite Technologies Ltd. has completed the demerger of its Global Services Business. The services business will transition from Sterlite Technologies to STL Networks Ltd. under the brand name 'Invenia'.

Shareholders of Sterlite Tech will receive one share of STL Networks per share held. The ex/record date for the spinoff is Thursday.

Besides, several small companies like Elantas Beck India Ltd. and Colab Platforms Ltd. will also go ex-trade through the week for dividends.

The record date determines the eligible shareholders who will receive the dividend payment. The ex-date, which mostly coincides with the record date, marks when the share price adjusts to reflect the upcoming payout.

Dividends are a way for companies to reward their shareholders.

Given India's T+1 settlement cycle, shares purchased on the record date will not be eligible for the dividend payment. Therefore, investors who own shares by the end of session ahead of the record date will be the beneficiaries.
