A major security breach was reported at the Delhi Assembly on Monday afternoon after a car driven by a masked man broke through barricades and attempted to forcibly enter the premises.
The incident occurred around 2 pm, triggering concern among Assembly staff and security personnel present at the site.
The car — reportedly bearing a Uttar Pradesh registration number — entered the Assembly complex after breaking through Gate No. 2. After stopping inside the premises, the driver placed a bouquet and then fled the scene.
Following the incident, a search operation was launched to trace the vehicle and identify the driver.

"A car driven by a masked man forced through one of the boundary gates of the Delhi Assembly premises, leading to a security scare on Monday afternoon," reported PTI quoting officials.
Delhi Police have initiated an investigation into the breach. CCTV footage and other available evidence from the area are being examined to establish the sequence of events and track down the suspect.
"The driver proceeded towards the office of Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta and placed a flower bouquet near the porch before retreating," PTI quoted Delhi Secretariat official as saying.
