French President Emmanuel Macron is set to arrive in Mumbai late Monday night for his three-day visit to India, during which he will hold discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on strengthtening bilateral ties between both nations. He will also participate in the AI Impact Summit being held in Delhi. This marks the French President's fourth visit to India.
A statement released earlier this month by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) indicated that Macron's India visit signifies the mutual confidence and depth of relations between New Delhi and Paris. The leaders of both countries will hold deliberations on a range of topics and issues, including collaboration in the Indo-Pacific region, as outlined in the Horizon 2047 Roadmap.
"The two leaders will also be in Mumbai to jointly inaugurate the India-France Year of Innovation, which will be celebrated throughout 2026 in both countries. On Feb. 19, President Macron will participate in the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi," the MEA stated. "This visit follows Prime Minister Modi's visit to France in Feb. 2025 and reflects the mutual trust and depth of the India–France Strategic Partnership."

Macron will land at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on Feb. 16 at 11.50 pm.
On Feb. 17, he will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Lok Bhawan at 3.15 pm, followed by an exchange of MoUs and a joint press statement at 4.30 pm in Raj Bhavan's Darbar Hall. The India-France Innovation Forum is at 5.20 pm at Hotel Taj Mahal Palace, culminating at 7.15 pm in the India-France Year of Innovation and Cultural Commemoration event at the iconic Gateway of India.
