The U.S. and China agreed to another truce in their trade dispute on Saturday in Japan. Unlike the previous meeting in Argentina, this time the two sides' statements are reasonably similar.
But there remain some substantial differences, including on whether China agreed to make immediate purchases of U.S. farm goods, and whether the freeze in new U.S. tariffs is permanent.
