The Trump administration will nominate Federal Reserve Governor Michelle Bowman as vice chair for supervision as soon as today, according to a person familiar with the matter.
Michael Barr resigned as Fed vice chair for supervision earlier this year, avoiding a potential fight with President Donald Trump over the role. He said in January “the risk of a dispute over the position could be a distraction from our mission.”
The White House didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
