Mumbai has reported 13,648 new Covid-19 cases and five deaths in the last 24-hours, according to an update from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
According to the update, 83% of the patients who tested positive during the same period were reported to be asymptomatic.
The active case tally in the city now stands at 1,03,862.
Karnataka added 146 new Omicron cases on Monday, taking the overall tally of the new variant of Covid-19 to 479, State Health Minister Dr Sudhakar K tweeted.
Bihar recorded 27 Omicron positive cases on Friday, ANI reported.
"32 samples were tested for coronavirus variant in the genomic sequencing lab, out of which 27 samples have tested positive for Omicron, four for Delta, and one for an unknown variant of the virus," said Director of Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna.

As India witnessed another steep rise in daily Covid-19 cases, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will meet health ministers, officials from Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, and Maharashtra at 3:30 p.m. today to discuss the situation in these states.
