India's daily Covid-19 infection rate spiked to 37,000, at a time the third wave is projected to peak in October.
As many as 37,593 people tested positive for the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 3.25 crore in one of the world's worst-hit nations, according to the Health Ministry's update on Aug. 25, 2021.
The active case load has inched up for the first time in 11 days as fresh cases exceeded recoveries.
