South Africa appointed Andre de Ruyter as chief executive officer of cash-strapped power utility Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd.
De Ruyter will start on Jan. 15, the Department of Public Enterprises said in an emailed statement Monday. He spent more than 20 years at Sasol Ltd. and is currently the CEO of Nampak Ltd.
