Skoda Auto India today launched a special edition of its entry-level sedan Rapid, priced between Rs 7.79 lakh and Rs 9.06 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The new variant -- Rapid Leisure -- available in petrol and diesel engines, would include features like portable navigation system with rear view camera and rear parking sensors, Skoda said in a statement.
Both variants will derive power from 1.6-litre units. While the petrol version will come in both manual and automatic transmission, the diesel will sport only the manual.
The petrol variant has maximum power of 105 PS at 5250 rpm with maximum torque of 220 Nm at 1530-3800 rpm. The diesel variant has maximum power of 105PS at 4400 rpm with maximum torque of 250 Nm at 1500-2500 rpm.
The special edition will be available across the country for a limited period only, the statement added.
While the petrol variant of Rapid Leisure would be available at Rs 7.79 lakh, the diesel variant would cost 9.06 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Skoda currently sells nine variants of the Rapid in the Indian market, priced between Rs 7.12 lakh and Rs 9.76 lakh.
