OYO will build a global back office in Jaipur, says Ritesh Agarwal, OYO chief executive officer and co-founder, to NDTV Profit in an exclusive interview on the sidelines of the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024 on Tuesday.

Ritesh Agarwal said that Jaipur will become the backbone of the company's operations in the US and Europe, playing a central role in our global strategy.

According to Agarwal, Rajasthan holds immense promise for any company due to its rich talent pool and vibrant business environment.

OYO plans to open more hotels than ever before, according to Agarwal, signalling their commitment to growth in the region.

"Our recent launch of a luxury hotel in Jaipur, and we are also continuously investing in Rajasthan," he added.

The summit has gathered 32 countries, including 17 'partner countries' like Denmark, Japan, and South Korea. Over 5,000 delegates from around the world, including prominent industrialists such as Kumar Mangalam Birla and Anil Agarwal, are taking part in the event.

Rajasthan's Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma also spoke at the summit, outlining a goal to double the state's economy to $350 billion within the next five years.

"The Rajasthan Global Business Expo will feature thematic pavilions such as the Rajasthan Pavilion, Country Pavilions, Startups Pavilion, among others, the press release said.
