The upcoming week is packed with a flurry of awaited meetings, key economic data expected and the final week of major third quarter earrings.

The most awaited event on the global front include PM Narendra Modi's visit to the US on Wednesday. This meeting, precedes key changes that are set to be made based on Trump's new tariff policies. Key economic data is set to come in from the US, Japan and India.

Back home, apart from the major meeting, India's consumer price index and industrial production are expected this week. The third quarter earnings season is coming to an end with only a few spilling over to next week. With more than 200 company earnings coming in, two IPO's are open for subscription in the primary market.

Modi's US Visit

PM Narendra Modi is prepared to discuss reducing import tariffs and buying more energy and defense equipment from the US when he meets with President Donald Trump this week, according to Bloomberg.

Modi is to arrive in Washington on Feb. 12 and likely to meet with Trump on Feb. 13. Meetings with Elon Musk and other US business executives have also been proposed, according to reports. Negotiations on trade, tariffs and more are reportedly on the agenda as well.

Markets This Week

The Indian equity benchmark indices closed higher three days in a row, as BEL and Power Grid stocks led gains.

The NSE Nifty 50 ended 86.40 points, or 0.37% up at 23,249.50, and the 30-stock BSE Sensex ended 226.85 points, or 0.30% higher at 76,759.81.

The NSE Nifty Bank also closed higher at 49311.95. The index ended 0.30% up at 146.

Domestic Cues And Q3 Earnings 

On the domestic front, is the Trump-Modi rendezvous along with key inflationary data is awaited this week.

Wednesday brings one of the most anticipated events with Narendra Modi meeting President Donald Trump at White House. The domestic wholesale prices is set to come in by the end of the week, on Friday.

India consumer price index data along with industrial production data is expected on Wednesday as well. While the India Energy Week is happening through the week till Feb. 14 in New Delhi.

When it comes to earnings, the third quarter earnings of over 200 companies are expected this week as the earnings season wraps up. Here's a list of all the companies that are set to put out their earnings.

Global Cues

The action-packed week is set to begin with China’s retaliatory tariffs on US goods scheduled to take effect on Monday.

Tuesday, all eyes will be on the Fed Chairman Jerome Powell as he is set to give the semiannual monetary policy testimony. Powell will be presenting this to the Senate Banking Committee.

Key inflationary data is incoming on Wednesday as the US is set to release its consumer price index for the month of January. Now this is one of the last big sets of price data gathered before the onset of President Donald
Trump’s tariff push. This report will also include annual revisions.

Additionally, Fed Chair Jerome Powell is also set to testify to House Financial Services panel as well on Wednesday.

On Thursday, Japan's producer price index is expected along with the US initial jobless claims.

By the end of the week, data on US retail sales, industrial production and business inventories are set to be released. Finally, Russia central bank rate meeting is also scheduled on the last of the week.

Primary Market Action

There are two IPO's that will be opening for subscription this week.

The issue of Ajax Engineering Limited opens on Feb. 10 and is open for subscription till Feb. 12. The equity shares of the company is set to list at both the exchanges BSE and NSE. The price for the issue has been set at Rs 599 to Rs 629 per equity share.

The second IPO opening mid-week is Hexaware Technologies Limited. Opening on Feb. 12, and will close subscription on Feb. 14. The equity shares of the company is set to list at BSE and NSE. The price for the issue has been set at Rs 674 to Rs 708 per equity share.

Corporate Action

Some of the key companies have some announcements lined up for the week ahead. With more than 89 companies announcing actions, the most common action incoming this week is the interim dividend.

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers on Feb. 7 is set to announce its interim dividend of Rs 8.9500 and Marico will also announce their interim dividend of Rs 3.5000.

Nestle India on Feb. 7 as well interim dividend of Rs 14.2500 on the same day along with Oil And Natural Gas Corporation with their interim divident announcement worth Rs 5.0000. Power Grid Corporation Of India as well on Feb. 7 will also announce their interim dividend of Rs 3.2500.
