Khukri Rum Vs Old Monk Vs Captain Morgan: Prices In India Compared
Nepal’s Khukri Rum has entered the Indian market, competing with established brands like Old Monk and Captain Morgan, with prices varying across states.

Khukri Rum, the well-known Nepalese brand named after the equally famous knife carried by Gurkhas, has officially entered the Indian market. Initially launched in Uttar Pradesh, Goa and Maharashtra, the brand aims to expand its presence to 10 cities by the end of March next year.
Produced by Nepal’s eponymous first distillery, Khukri Rum boasts a 65-year-old legacy. The rum is made from Nepalese sugarcane and pure Himalayan water. It is then aged in sal (scientific name Shorea Robusta) wood casks for added depth and complexity.
Khukri has introduced three distinct expressions in India, catering to diverse preferences:
Khukri XXX Rum
Khukri Spiced Rum
Khukri White Rum
The iconic Coronation Khukri Rum, created to mark the coronation of Late King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev, has not made the list for now, sadly.
Khukri Rum: Price Across States
Uttar Pradesh: Rs 1,730 for XXX Rum, Rs 2,130 for Spiced Rum
Maharashtra: Rs 1,765 for XXX Rum, Rs 1,975 for Spiced and White Rum
