Infosys To Acquire Denmark's BASE Life Science
The deal will help the IT services company expand its reach in the Nordics region and Europe.
Infosys Ltd. is set to buy Copenhagen-based technology and consulting firm BASE life science for 110 million euros, helping expand its reach in the Nordics region and Europe.
The acquisition amount is inclusive of management incentives, bonuses and retention, the IT-services company said in an exchange filing.
The company has signed definitive agreement for the acquisition, which is expected to close during the second quarter of the fiscal 2023, subject to customary closing conditions, it said.
BASE will bring its domain experts with commercial, medical, digital marketing, clinical, regulatory, and quality knowhow. That will help Infosys grow its portfolio into consumer health, animal health, medtech and genomics segments. BASE collaborates with leading software technology providers in the life sciences industry such as Veeva, IQVIA and Salesforce, the filing added.
Besides Denmark, the company also has presence across Switzerland, United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Italy, and France.
